It was a Thursday afternoon; I was out of my office on the train heading to Cambridge. Normally I have clients come to my practice but today I was traveling. You see Dan, has been agoraphobic for the past couple of years, Dan can comfortably walk to the end of his road, but that’s about it, if he passes that barrier he experiences full blown panic attacks which result in sheer terror, he races home and then is still shaken up for hours to follow.

On the phone I spoke with his father. They were both skeptical, but had tried everything. Somewhere inside the both of them they knew there had to be a solution, after all Dan wasn’t born this way.

Approximately an hour into the session, Dan felt a strong shift as if something had changed, “I am going to make this work, now I know exactly how to free myself of it” Dan said.

Approximately an hour and a half later the session was drawing to an end, Dan felt a strong feeling inside as if something had changed, “I am going to make this work, now I know exactly how to free myself of it” Dan said.

Dan had traveled to see his girlfriend 200 miles away. Yes you read it right.

Two Years Later

Dan is in my office in London and we are heading out to lunch. He wants to learn how I did what I did so he can help others. If you asked Dan a couple of years ago if this was possible he would have said no.

Dan arrived to meet me in my office heading so we could go for lunch. He wanted to learn how I did what I did so he can help others by shadowing my methods. If you had asked Dan a couple of years ago If he would be free. He would have said this was impossible.

Like Dan there are thousands of people suffering from agoraphobia and panic attacks. Almost every case I have ever worked with has two common ingredients: (i) The phobia was set of by a accumulation of anxiety ridden events and (ii) the person is afraid that there was something physically wrong with them.

Below I have listed for you the symptoms, next I will give you some easy methods of alleviating it using a method that Time Magazine called “An all purpose technology”.

Physical symptoms:

Heart palpitations, Chest discomfort, Shortness of Breath, Spells of dizziness, Choking and closed throat, Hot and cold flushes, Feelings of unreality and disorientation, Panic attacks, Light headiness.

Psychological symptoms:

The fear of panicking, Not being in control, The fear of dying, Fear of embarrassing yourself in front of others, Fear of going insane, Fear of losing control, Fear of passing out.

If you are experiencing the symptoms mentioned above both physical and psychological you probably feel alone, but whom do you turn to? Doctors don’t seem to understand and have failed you; friends and family are baffled by what you are going through. Although there are tens of thousands of people worldwide experiencing the same things, it can seem like theres no one to turn to.

The truth is, there is someone to turn to. There is someone who can help you. You dont have to suffer any more. Stop giving up control of your life to agoraphobia. You dont have to live in fear. You can beat this agoraphobia once and for all. Now you can gain control of your life and your health without drugs, achieve your lifes dreams without panic attacks holding you back, and overcome these physical symptoms. The methods I have used and you will learn, work. You see these techniques where first discovered by Dr. John Grinder and Richard Bandler. Grinder and Bandler were both at the University of California in Santa Cruz in the early 1970s. Working together, the pair developed NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) the worlds most powerful mind technology. These methods where also further enhanced and made famous by the World’s most famous hypnotist Paul McKenna who is regularly watched on television by more than 200 million people in 42 countries. McKenna has proven conclusively people can become overcome phobias and panic attacks.

Further to that Nobel Prizewinner, Professor Gerald Edelman spent thirty years discovering exactly how the brain functions. His conclusions show that the ten billion or more brain and nerve cells we all have arrange themselves into groups in order to form “maps” that react to our experience. A panic attack and agoraphobia are good examples of how the brain works. A particular trigger (a certain distance away from home, spiders, crowded places) creates a particularly strong response (sweaty palms, fast breathing, panic etc). The brain learns this and thereafter, every time the person is presented with the same stimulus, their body has exactly the same response even though they dont want it. The astonishing thing is, people with phobias and panic attacks always remember to have that response.

What this means is the brain acts as the most advanced computer in the world. Like computers which work through programs such as word processing or and emailing, we too have internal programs running in our brain in just the same way, sometimes with computers a virus spreads and takes over, generalized anxiety is just the same, it starts as a small fear then spreads. For us, once we learn something like driving a car, it becomes a set of programs in our brain and the next time we need to drive, it fires off. For instance when you are driving now you are not so conscious about the whole processes of driving, as you were when you first started learning it, it has now become automatic. Even the small things we take for granted such as making a cup of coffee, tying a shoe lace. All these activities we don’t have to think about them consciously, they are programs running in our subconscious mind.

Fortunately for us, we have these programs running in the background of our minds. Life would be chaos if every time you approached a door we had to work out how to open that door. Can you see how everyone’s lives would be utterly chaotic if for a small task like opening a door we had to think about the process every time? Thats why the brain works automatically.

NLP has discovered, how programs are installed in our brains and secondly how using simple methods they can assist a person to eliminate the bad limiting program and put in it’s place a more beneficial one. Now what the experts have found is that if you are suffering from agoraphobia or any other issue, in order to overcome it, you will need to replace the old programs with new more beneficial programs.

I have been successfully doing this for years, helping people overcome simple phobias all the way to chronic cases of panic attacks and agoraphobia, all of which I’ve helped using these powerful methods and techniques. For more engrained fears I recommend NLPs fast phobia cure, this coupled with TFT and Hypnosis will allow you to overcome agoraphobia even if you’ve been trapped with it for years.

To begin to get some relief follow the steps I have outlined below:

1) Make a solid decision that you will get over this fear, stop restricting yourself and make progress with small increments no matter how uncomfortable initially.

2) Stop making negative images in your mind, and stop talking negatively to yourself, words have a profound effect on the way you feel, someone can say they hate you and someone can say they love you, each effect how you feel Immediately, so say to yourself I am well I can do this, always state the positive.

3) Replace fearful images with pleasant scenes in your mind, imagine your life going well and you are gently expanding how far you can travel. If you can create panic by focusing on the worst possible thing then you can reverse the process as well, this feels awkward at first, but will set you on the road to recovery.

4) Watch a comedy (endorphins produced during laughter collapse fear) and during the points of laughter imagine feeling calm in the situations that used to trigger you, Imagine going out freely everyday this helps rewire the response in the brain and the reaction to fear.

5) Breath in through the mouth inflate the belly out through the mouth and pull the belly button towards the spine (this suppresses the stress hormone in the brain).

6) If the fear is unbearable find an expert in this area. A recommended practitioner of Hypnosis, NLP and TFT combined.

"According to most studies, people's number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right?

“According to most studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you’re better off in the casket than doing the eulogy.”-Jerry Seinfeld

This morning I had a friend call up asking for help with a Wedding Speech, I told him, “Let me help you overcome this fear, because I don’t want you to screw up at my wedding.” Of course it was all tongue in cheek.

The reality is, there are millions of people immobilized by this fear; the world’s number one Phobia, second to death. People would rather die than speak in public! People find that hilarious, but for those suffering, the torment and physical symptoms are very real. I can testify for that, I was once a bag of nerves, now I comfortably deliver speeches to very large audiences and love every second of it. Individuals with this fear tend to say to themselves:

“What if people judge me or reject me? What if I end up panicking? What if someone can tell how nervous I am? What if I forget what to say? What if the audience knows more than I do about the subject? What if I blush?”

If I said to you Dont think of the color red what do you think about? Red of course. If you think about what you dont want i.e panicking, you tend to end up inducing that state within yourself. Your phobia is a learned response. It is a process that you have to go through in order to feel the thing you call anxiety. The process itself is simple enough. My last clients I treated had unbearable levels of anxiety when they had to speak to people in social or business presentations. Those limitations are no longer there.

How could this be?

If a person breaks their leg. Medical professionals don’t just stand around analyzing how the person broke the leg; they just put it in a cast and let the person heal. Instead of dwelling on the past and analyzing how and why they are afraid to speak in front of an audience I help them change their thought pattern. I find it heartless to drag people through all those times they felt bad just to analyze how and when there issues began to arise.

Instead, I do something different. I always explain that whatever they were doing is irrelevant. My explanation replaces their phobia with a clear positive image of how they want to come across when delivering their speech, I use NLPs fast phobia cure to break negative past memories, and go on to ensure the persons attention is focused on feeling well and not over rationalizing the whole process. By the end of my session they are actually excited about giving their speech and deliver very well.

My methods I lead my clients in replace their phobia with a clear positive image of how they want to come across when delivering their speech, I use NLPs fast phobia cure to break negative past memories, and go on to ensure the persons attention is focused on feeling well and not over rationalizing their speech and performance. By the end of my session they are actually excited about giving their speech and deliver very well.

Follow these easy steps and begin to improve your performance immediately:

1) Make a solid decision to never again give in to this fear, never avoid the situations

2) Control your physiology (your breathing your body posture) – act as if you are confident.

3) Turn your inner critic (negative self chatter) into a positive uplifting voice – an inner coach.

4) Remember past successes even if they are not related to speaking publicly, the very act of doing this will make you feel uplifted.

5) Think only of the best possible scenarios. Like an athlete visualize the outcome and having performed really well.

6) For more ingrained fears source an expert in NLP/Hypnosis combined.

I was just reflecting on a holiday I had a couple of years ago and remembered an experience that didnt seem scary until I decided to go ahead with it. I had just arrived in Santorini, a gorgeous little Greek Island, and we had just got off the cruise that had brought us there. I have never seen so many Donkeys in my life. To get to the little village and shops meant either going up a tram, or taking a Donkey up the mountain. Being the adventures type of guy I am, I decided to go via donkey, the route up the mountain was daunting and the speed of these donkeys would have even intimidated Lewis Hamilton. At points on the trip up, It literally felt that I was going to fall off the side of the cliff!!! I grew to respect the fact that Donkeys really can be dangerous and I could sympathize with anyone who has fear of them. But come to think of it, in all my years of practice I have worked with every imaginable phobia under the sun, but never have I worked with a Donkey Phobic.

National Geographic statistics prove that donkeys are deadlier then flying on an airplane. So why are so many people have a fear of flying? After all flying still is the safest form of transport in the world. The answer is simple, they create a scary picture in their mind, talk to themselves negatively and imagine how everything could possibly go wrong and if that isnt enough they expect to panic on the airplane many weeks in advance and then wonder why they cant fly. The simple fact is that they are inducing the fear on themselves. Inevitably when I work with flight phobics I ask them, When was the last time you were in a plane crash? and of course I get the answer, Its never happened.

The mind is incredible. You create fears in your imagination even if you are not physically in the experience, it then feels very real. Why not create imaginary happiness and confidence that too then would eventually feel real. The last flight phobic I worked with would take a cocktail of drugs to get on the airplane coupled with alcohol (this is so dangerous) and would still panic a very common thing. Then she booked a session with me and her flight was as smooth as could be. I received a phone call from her saying it was easier then she had expected. I was using a combination of therapies to rewire her responses all in to the positive.

I really believe peoples fears hold them back from amazing experiences and I hope to help people overcome their limitations, below is a number of proven techniques that help alleviate the fear. For more ingrained fears I recommend NLPs fast phobia cure, this coupled with Hypnosis has allowed me to break flight phobics who have been immobilized by this fear sometimes even for decades

1) Make a solid decision that you will get over this.

2) Stop making negative images in your mind, and stop talking negatively to yourself.

3) Replace fearful images with pleasant scenes in your mind, imagine the flight going well. If you can create panic by focusing on the worst possible thing before even boarding the plane then you can reverse the process easily.

4) Watch a comedy and during the points of laughter imagine flying easily (endorphins produced during laughter collapse fear) this helps rewire the response in the brain and the reaction to fear.

5) Breath in through the mouth inflate the belly out through the moth and pull the belly button towards the spine (this suppresses the stress hormone).

6) If the fear is unbearable find an expert in this area. A recommended practitioner of Hypnosis, NLP and TFT combined (A real expert may help you sometimes inside of only an hour).

A busy Friday afternoon in my office, the phone rang as I was having my last sip of cappuccino “I have Sarah downstairs to see you she is in a bad way, she is out of breath and panicking” said Joyce my secretary.

Sarah doesn’t know it yet but she is just hours away from freeing herself from panic attacks permanently. Just like Sarah there are millions suffering from the stresses of anxiety and panic attacks. If you look at almost every case I have ever worked with there are two common things: (a) It was set off by a series of stressful events and worry. (b) The person was afraid that there was something seriously wrong with them. This of course made it worse and sent them into their present negative behavior.

Firstly I have listed for you the symptoms below just to identify If you really are suffering from panic attacks, next I will give you some easy methods for eliminating it using a method that Time Magazine called “An all purpose technology”.

These are some of the techniques that help break even the most severe attacks and keep them away; it is however important that you understand whats going on, and the cure is always in the diagnosis.

Physical symptoms:

Heart palpitations Chest discomfort Shortness of Breath Spells of dizziness Choking and closed throat Hot and cold flushes Feelings of unreality and disorientation Panic attacks Light headiness

The strategies I have used and you are about to learn about work. You see these techniques where first discovered by Dr. John Grinder and Richard Bandler. And the techniques where further enhanced and made famous to the world by Paul McKenna. Who Is the World’s most famous Hypnotist and is regularly watched on television by more than 200 million people in 42 countries has helped people become more confident, lose weight, cure phobias, quit smoking and many other amazing ways. Further to that Nobel Prizewinner, Professor Gerald Edelman has spent thirty years researching how the brain functions. He concludes that the ten billion or more brain and nerve cells we have arrange themselves into groups in order to form “maps” that respond to our experience. Fortunately for us, we have these programs running in the background of our minds. Imagine the chaos our lives would be in if every time we approached a door we had to stop, think and work out how to open the door. Can you see how everyone’s lives would be utterly chaotic if for a small task like opening a door we had to think about the process every time? Thats why the brain works automatically.

In my London clinic I have been successfully doing this for years, helping people overcome simple phobias all the way to chronic cases panic attacks, all of which Ive helped using these powerful methods and techniques. For more engrained fears I recommend NLPs fast phobia cure, this coupled with TFT and Hypnosis will allow you to break panic attacks even if youve been trapped for years. To begin to get some relief follow the steps I have outlined below:

1) Make a solid decision that you will get over this fear, stop restricting yourself and make progress with small increments no matter how uncomfortable initially. 2) Stop making negative images in your mind, and stop talking negatively to yourself, words have a profound effect on the way you feel, someone can say they hate you and someone can say they love you, each effect how you feel Immediately. 3) Replace fearful images with pleasant scenes in your mind, imagine your life going well. If you can create panic by focusing on the worst possible thing then you can reverse the process as well, this feels awkward at first, but will set you on the road to recovery. 4) Watch a comedy and during the points of laughter imagine a happy life and feeling calm in the situations that use to trigger you (endorphins produced during laughter collapse fear) this helps rewire the response in the brain and the reaction to fear. 5) Breath in through the mouth inflate the belly out through the moth and pull the belly button towards the spine (this suppresses the stress hormone in the brain). 6) If the fear is unbearable find an expert in this area. A recommended practitioner of Hypnosis, NLP and TFT combined (A real expert may help you sometimes inside of only an hour).
