Natural Ways to Cure Depression

Wouldn’t you like a natural cure for depression rather than turning to drugs? While no natural cures are guaranteed to work, there are steps you can take to help life your spirits and get rid of depression.

The majority of people have gone through some depressive state whether it was due to the loss of a job, loss of a loved one, or a tragic event from which we never seemed to recover. These things happen in life, but there are ways of coping apart from resorting to drugs.

When lack of energy fuels your depression, try adding vitamins and St. John’s Wort to your dietary supplements. Vitamins give you energy and St. John’s Wort is used by millions to improve and stabilize their moods. Energy invigorates you and you will feel better when you are not always tired.

Another way to feel better is to exercise. Exercise n look better, and feel more confident, too. Get outside and walk, in the park or in your neighborhood. When you feel the fresh air and sunshine it will boost your mood.

Don’t sleep the day away. When you wake up too late you don’t want to do anything. If you wake up too late you won’t feel like doing anything. Depending on your situation, I recommend, getting up at a reasonable hour like 8am.

It will also help your feelings to set personal goals. Find projects around the house that will help you feel constructive. Maybe you need to paint or work in the yards. Setting goals gives you a reason to get out of bed. Another thing you can do is find a hobby or a place to volunteer, anything that will drag you away from the television and computer.

Chances are if you dress like a slob, you will feel like a slob. Get dressed in something presentable, even if you aren’t planning on getting out of the house that day. You may also consider getting a pet. Pets are wonderful for lifting your spirits and helping abate the feeling of loneliness.

Call friends and ask if they are willing to meet and chat. Talking about how you feel will help you feel better. There are other natural cures for depression, but these helped me, and I feel they will work for you, as well.
