Are You Having a Panic Attack? 3 Symptoms of a Panic Attack

At any stage of your live you may find useful having to cope with a panic attack. Although most of us will only suffer such a problem for about 10 minutes there are certain symptoms of a panic attack which can result in it occurring for much longer. Also you need to be aware that after you have suffered one panic attack the chances of another occurring in the future is quite high.

It is just physical symptoms of a panic attack that sufferers need to learn to deal with there are also the mental ones. In this article we look at some of the symptoms that you may suffer from and being aware of what they are will help you to identify when an attack is going to happen.

Symptom 1 – Many sufferers will feel dizzy and apprehensive and will find themselves panicking over nothing. The dizziness that you suffer could leave you feeling weak and if the attack is severe the person may well faint.

Symptom 2 – Most people when they suffer a panic attack will start to find that they have problems breating properly. As the attack manifests the person starts to feel as if their throat and chest are becoming tighter and so find it very difficult to actually start taking air into their body. The main reason for this feeling of constriction in the chest and throat is the body is fighting to prevent levels of adrenalin in it from becoming too high.

Symptom 3 – The person’s heart rate will become accelerated as it works to push more oxygen around their body as it is using vast amounts up when a panic attack occurs. Plus along with the accelerated heart rate a person will breathe much deeper and faster in order to draw more oxygen into the body because its own levels are becoming depleted.
