Dealing With Panic When It Happens
An amount of nervousness or anxiety is to be expected in life, but if your anxiety symptoms start to take over your all your waking ours, you probably should begin a search for treatment of them. Most people are concerned and feel tense or scared when confronting a situation that causes stress. It is considered to be our body’s natural response when it feels threatened.
While anxiety is not fun, it can be a positive thing to go through. Anxiety helps you to stay focused and alert, and act as motivation. However, if you are constantly dealing with anxiety and it becomes too much for you to handle, it can damge relationships and other areas of your life. At this point you have to accept the fact that you may have an anxiety disorder and seek anxiety or panic attack cures.
Anxiety or panic symptoms can be different for everyone. While some will deal with severe anxiety attacks with no warning, others might just get nervous over the thought of something. Still others may deal with a life controlled by tension where they trouble themselves about absolutely everything. There is, however, one symptom that all sufferers have: constant or intense fear or worry about things that most people wouldn’t think twice about.
Feeling irritable
* Having trouble with concentration
* Having feelings of apprehension
* Feeling agitated
* Feeling tense
* Fear of the worst
* Looking for signs of a threat
* Feeling as if your mind has gone blank
In addition to these emotional anxiety symptoms, there are also physical symptoms that accompany an anxiety attack. Because these are so numerous, people often think these symptoms are caused by a medical illness. Some physical symptoms of panic attacks are:
* Sweating heavily
* Severe headaches
* Heart pounding
* Nausea and /or dizziness
* Insomnia
* Frequent urination and/or diarrhea
* Uncontrollable tremors or ticks
* Tense muscles
* Tired
* Shortness of breath
Most anxiety attacks max out within 10 minutes, and normally don’t last more than half an hour. This may not seem like a long time, but it does to the one who’s experiencing the attack. The terror present during the attacks can be so intense that there is a persistent feeling of being about to die. The physical symptoms can be so horrible that a lot of people truly believe they are having a cardiac arrest.
If you are having any of these anxiety symptoms in a group, or alone, and there does not seem to be a valid reason for them, it will be helpful to seek the advice of a health care professional. There are panic attack cures to alleviate the symptoms and possibly take away the attacks completely.
